About Us

Añejo Taqueria has always been, at its core, a family-owned dream. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, our founders learned early on that the kitchen is where family gathers—and right there, at just ten years old, a lifelong passion for authentic cooking was born.

For years, that deep love for cooking lived alongside our regular day jobs. Añejo Taqueria started as a quiet vision between a husband and wife who have stood side by side for over 26 years. Built on togetherness and shared hard work, we launched as a small hustle—a humble family food truck parked at a local gas station, serving up the very traditional recipes passed down through generations.

We started out as a weekend side family gig, expecting it to stay small. We were wrong—it very quickly turned into so much more.

Within just four months, the love and support from our North Texas community completely blew us away. Word spread, lines grew long, and the demand was so overwhelming that we took the ultimate leap of faith: we quit our jobs and committed to this dream full-time.

That little food truck at the gas station paved the way for our first brick-and-mortar restaurant. True to our tagline, “Aged to Perfection,” our story is proof that great things take time, dedication, and deep roots. Today, as a family-owned and operated business, we are thrilled to share that we are currently expanding our restaurant to serve even more of the Metroplex.

From a far-away kitchen in Chihuahua to a gas station food truck, and now into a growing restaurant, we remain committed to serving you authentic, traditional Mexican flavor—made with love, together as a family. Welcome to our table!
